The phases of Atlantic mud-balneotherapy

Mud

The application of the clays, which reach a temperature of 42-45°C, is carried out after a medical consultation on the area to be treated. The duration of the session is between 15 and 20 minutes and the thickness of the mud layer varies between 3 and 10 cm.

Balneotherapy

The next step involves immersion in thermal water at a temperature of 36-38°C to promote muscle relaxation and the analgesic action of the previously applied mud. The chemical composition of the water completes the therapeutic action.

Rest

Afterwards, the guest rests in the room for 30 minutes properly covered and lying down. During this time, the most noticeable effect is intense sweating.

Massotherapy

A therapeutic massage that assists blood circulation, eliminates metabolic toxins and also helps dissolve any fat deposits, amplifying the beneficial effects of treatment.

Elixir of well-being: our mud baths

The muds of Abano Terme are composed of clay, water and micro-organisms matured during an enrichment process that takes place in special pools in which, for a period of 2-3 months, thermal water flows constantly maintaining the clay at a temperature of around 60°C.
